Travels of Mark Silver

Jeffrey City Wyoming to Lost Creek Campground

Bruce and Mark head South

On the way to Jeffrey City from Lander this overlook has a commanding view of the Wind River Range.

Of course, the Africa Twin makes it better!

Oh boy, Jeffrey City is a dream busted. But, there are a surprising number of people living there.

Coming from Browns Park, it is not easy for me to doubt their judgement. But, wow it is someplace in the middle of a big, vast, remote, desolate area. There are a ton of old, abandoned buildings and it would take years just to explore them and the left over machines.

Again, I am not pointing fingers.

Read this and the brown sign for an explanation.

This is a 360 of the corner where I met BruceL.

Again, it sure is someplace!

Mark and Bruce.

We head off down the road, but someone forgot to buckle their helmet (it was not me this time) and it turned into a longer stop than you would expect.

It was quite a trip down the backroad to Wamsutter and then on to Baggs Wyoming.

Lots of unexpected oil and gas activity, but great riding.

We ended up in a decent Forest Service Campground “Lost Creek” under quartzite peak.

Only one other outfit camped there, and I don't think they were really there. But, a great nights sleep.

Cheese board for dinner.

And a rocking good time.
