Hiking to the Wind Caves

4 mile hike in Logan Canyon to the Wind Caves

Before I head south to Chile/Argentina/Paraguay for a few months I wanted to visit with Sam, Taylor and the grandkids.

This is Ruby. I believe that Wes has taught her how to pose for pictures.

But, as you can see, she really is adorable!

This is Frank The Dog's cousin Max. Ruby thought it would be a good idea for Max to dress up like a Unicorn.

Max loves me. I think he can smell Frank The Dog on me and Max just wants to be petted, hugged and loved all the time.

Wes made me this great picture of me on a motorcycle. He and I are plotting to get him an outfit and a motor ASAP. But, he is only 6 so, … I am having a few second thoughts.

We headed up Logan canyon to hike to the Wind Caves. It warmed more and more after we left the vehicle.

It is 1.8 miles (3 KM) with 1000 feet (330 meters) of elevation gain to the caves.

Wes made it all the way with hardly any complaining.

I met a gaggle of witches at the caves, and…just like at Torres del Paine National Park (in Argentina) they all want to hang out with the exciting guy! (See the next picture!)

This was from 21 Feb with Fernando.

Pretty spectacular view from up on top! This is looking East, up Logan Canyon towards Bear Lake.

This is looking west, down the canyon towards Logan Utah.

I gave Wes my old digital camera. It has a 20 Megapixel camera and a zoom lens. I checked and it is quite a collectors item.

It takes great 'retro' pictures, but it does not have a GPS and it can not deal with low light. So, while not a great option for my trips, it is a great camera for Wes and he loved taking pictures with it.

Wes is tough and he likes to climb trees.
